Dr Judy Chen  - Monday, Tuesday and Saturday on a Rota

MB BS (London 1986), MSc, MRCGP, DRCOG

I have been a doctor for 25 years and a GP for 21 years, mostly in Lewisham. Together with another GP, Rushey Green Group Practice was started with a list size of 1000 patients, and part of our job was to buy furniture for the practice! My clinical interests include cardiology, paediatrics, care of the elderly and psychiatry. I am the GP Lead for Safeguarding Children in Lewisham, and I am also a GP trainer. In my personal time, I am kept busy with 4 children, a husband and activities in my local parish.

Dr Alberto Febles - Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday on a Rota

I obtained my primary medical qualification in Spain in 1986. I moved to the UK in 1987 and trained in obstetrics and then psychiatry. After completing my postgraduate training in Sheffield and then London I extended my training to General Practice finally becoming a GP Principal in 2002. I have been training doctors intending to become GPs since 2003. I completed a Masters degree in General Practice and Primary Care Research in 2003 at the King’s College Medical School and I am also a member of the Royal College of GPs. My special interests are Mental Health, Drug Misuse and Teaching.

I have been working in the NHS for 32 years! I began my training in 1979 specialising in Neonatal Nursing at Kings College Hospital. I then left to have children and after this time I pursued a career in Practice Nursing working in two practices before coming to RGGP in 2001. I then qualified as a Nurse Practitioner after a 3 year degree programme in 2002 and became a partner of the practice later that year. My clinical specialty is Respiratory Disease. I am also an MBBS Tutor and Honourary Lecturer for KCL Medical School. In my spare time I enjoy all things sewing and spending time with my family.

Salaried GPs

Dr David Davies -  Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday on a Rota

MB BS, MRCGP, DCH, DRCOG

I have worked as a GP in many settings before settling in Lewisham, including South Africa and New Zealand. I have also worked in a single-handed practice in my homeland in the wilds of Snowdonia. Catford attracted me as I am keen on challenges and particularly enjoy working with those with drug and alcohol problems. Not so many of those in north Wales! I am married and have 2 lovely children of 11 and 7 and despite being an urban GP now, I enjoy escaping to the coast and swimming in the sea the whole year round. I am also very keen on green woodwork.

Mrs Oyewumi Jegede - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Physician Associate

Physician Associate is “a new healthcare professional who, while not a doctor, works to the medical model, with the attitudes, skills and knowledge base to deliver holistic care and treatment within the general medical and/or general practice team under defined levels of supervision”. I have a background in Physiology and Pharmacology and subsequently underwent my post-graduate training to become a Physician Associate. I am very passionate about what I do and mostly see on the day patients. I am able to take medical histories, complete physical examinations, devise / implement management plans and refer patients as appropriate. I have a special interest in women's health.  Outside of work, I assist with a youth group at my church and I enjoy sewing.

Mrs Ann Keating - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday

I have worked in primary care since 2003 and have undertaken my Advanced Nurse Practitioner training. I now work as part of the urgent team working with a gp and physicians assistant dealing with phonecalls, and seeing patients on the day, as well as routinely. I am able to undertake health histories, examine and treat minor and complex health problems. I am also able to order investigations, interpret results and make referrals.

** All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice. The average pay for GPs working in Rushey Green Group Practice in 2015-16 was £85,554 before tax and National Insurance.
