I am the Lead Practice Nurse at RGGP. I also spend one day a week working as a Practice Nurse Advisor for the Clinical Commissioning Group.
I have been practice nursing for about 15 years and feel quite privileged to be part of this developing broad role that includes everything from childhood immunisations to sexual health and managing patients with long term conditions. I have a special interest in Asthma and COPD and also enjoy seeing housebound patients for their reviews at home. I trained at St Bartholomew’s Hospital I have a background in District Nursing and Health Visiting.
I have lived locally for over 25 years and have two grown up children. My hobbies include cycling, swimming and dog walking.

I did my registered nursing training at Lewisham in 1984, where I then worked for a year. I then went on to work in Southwark as a Community Staff Nurse and then qualified as a District Nursing Sister working in the Walworth area. I have now been working as a practice nurse since 1994 and have been at Rushey Green Group Practice for 10 years. My interests are in diabetes, travel , family planning and immunisation.
When not working I am a busy mum trying to find a bit of spare time to enjoy the gardening and go for a swim. I also help out at a mothers and toddlers group and help run junior Sunday school at a local Baptist Church.

Mrs Julia Martin - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday on a Rota
I am the first contact for all new patients. I carry out all new patient checks and the general body 'MOT' for all over 40s. I am also responsible for ear syringing, smoking cessation and adminstering your flu and B12 vaccines. I also deal with all foot checks for diabetics and COPD.
